Conversions - Factory
Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Honda, and Toyota produced a number of CNG capable vehicles in the 1990's and early 2000's. Honda is the only company currently producing a CNG vehicle, the Civic GX. Almost all were sold primarily as fleet vehicles and are now just becoming available to the public as surplus vehicles. (Keep in mind that fleet vehicles tend to be basic models without many options.) Incentives may be available for purchasing one of these vehicles. The following are the most common makes and models:

- Must run out of CNG before switching to gasoline

Honda

- Only factory produced CNG vehicle currently in production
- Only officially sold in specific markets (although it can be found outside CA and NY)
- Federal income tax rebate is available (and possibly state) because it can be purchased as a new vehicle
