Clean Energy to buy FuelMaker for $17 million

This CNN Money article reports that Clean Energy (CE) will buy the FuelMaker corporation for $17 million. CE is owned by T. Boone Pickens, creator of the Pickens Plan.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. FuelMaker products are already in short supply and over priced. With CE's financial backing, will more units be produced? Will the price go down? Will future FuelMaker products be aimed primarily at commercial applications, with the individual consumer paying through the nose (which is CE's current strategy)? This move positions CE to have a nearly complete monopoly over both commercial and home natural gas refueling in the United States.
